The Collins Dictionary description of restless is as follows:
If you are restless, you are bored, impatient, or dissatisfied, and you want to do something else.
I have found in my life that I am yet to feel satisfied, or as I like to say content. Now I know everyone’s version of being content will look different. For some it is working a job they enjoy or even can tolerate to live comfortably. To simply sit by a significant other or alone, watching some series on TV with a full belly and repeat. For others it may be floating from place to place experiencing everything to the full. Not knowing where they will be in a month’s time or even in a week.
No matter what it looks like, it is the feeling we all seek and desire. There is no guidebook or instruction manual to guide us. Sending someone like myself in constant spirals of never feeling satisfied, not knowing where I am going, what I am doing, what will make me happy.
I was recently told ‘I think you just get bored’ which I took offence to. Even though it is in the definition I do not think it’s the case. I am just not satisfied, I always feel like something is lacking and I do not want to settle so I hit the switch and flip my life upside down time and time again.
We live in a world now where social media leaves us wanting. Why personally, I do not have it. For blog purposes maybe it is something I will need to set up but that is a conversation and problem
for another day.
If you are like me and feeling a little lost, and want to read something you can connect to then you have found the right place.
Now if you read this far then I thank you. I look forward to sharing my journey for the elusive contentment with you.
